We have our own payroll department and do not operate with umbrella body payroll.  This provides you with a more efficient service so that you can have continuity with who you speak with and any amendments can be rectified immediately.  Working for VES you will get paid on a weekly basis (one week in arrears).  Your payslip will be emailed to you prior to you receiving your first pay, this should be checked by you, any amendments you should notify us of.

All VES candidates have access to our portal so that hours of work can be viewed for the week, you can notify us through the portal if this is incorrect.

The Holiday Pay Scheme is mandatory. All candidates that are paid through our PAYE system accrue holidays at 12.07% of the rate that is on the booking confirmation.

Holiday pay can be paid when requested once you have accrued enough for half a day’s holiday. The notice period for holiday pay requests should be twice the length of the intended absence and holiday pay requests should be sent directly to payroll@valleyeducation.co.uk. We do recommend all our candidates take their holiday pay during the school holidays, when they do not have any other income.

Holiday payment must be taken in the year that it was accrued. Our holiday year runs from September to August 31st. Holidays can not be paid whilst working or over a weekend.
